Undergraduate
The Sociology Undergraduate Program aims to equip students with the necessary skills to scientifically understand and analyze social structures, changes, and processes. Sociology seeks to understand how social order operates and evolves by analyzing the groups, communities, and institutions formed by individuals coming together. It offers a comprehensive education for individuals interested in exploring the dynamics that shape society, understanding the complex relationship between individuals and society, and critically evaluating these processes.
Our program prepares students to learn the fundamental concepts and theoretical frameworks of sociology and apply this knowledge to address contemporary social issues. Throughout the educational process, students acquire both theoretical and practical knowledge, learn qualitative and quantitative research methods, and develop the competence to propose solutions to societal problems.
The program aims to cultivate critical and analytical thinking skills, equip students with the ability to understand and address social change and dynamics, and train individuals capable of conducting social research by integrating theoretical knowledge with field experience. Additionally, it seeks to develop a profound understanding of the social, cultural, and economic dimensions of social structure. Our students gain the ability to deeply comprehend and analyze social processes. Sociology enables individuals to better understand social life, offering solutions to social problems. It also empowers individuals to question, understand, and transform the world they live in.
Graduates who successfully complete the Sociology Undergraduate Program have a wide range of employment opportunities in both the public and private sectors. They can take on significant roles as sociologists in public institutions, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, human resources, media, education, and research centers.
